Tommy Honey - Director
Tommy Honey has a background in education and creative management. He has taught in the tertiary sector for eighteen years at Victoria and Massey Universities, CIT, Weltec, Unitec, Wellington Polytechnic and Toi Whakaari. He brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles as Deputy Principal of CIT and Project Manager at City Gallery, Wellington. Tommy Honey has also worked extensively in the theatre as a director and designer and until recently was Chair of the Downstage Theatre Trust Board.

John Reid - Head tutor
John Reid is the Head Tutor and manages the delivery of the curriculum. This includes teaching and overseeing the visiting industry tutor programme. John is a director with substantial film and television experience, having directed and co-written four feature films and directed over 120 hours of television drama. In addition he has worked extensively in national and international film and television commercial production and was the first New Zealander to win a Venice Silver Lion. He has extensive hands-on knowledge of the feature film industry, is a past president of the Screen Directors Guild and was involved in the formation of the New Zealand Film Commission where he subsequently served as a board member.

Alison Langdon - Programme Co-ordinator
Alison Langdon is the Programme Co-ordinator responsible for co-ordinating the visiting tutor programme. Her background is in television, where, inter alia, she was involved in recruiting and training for TVNZ Avalon's television assistant training scheme. She is a former documentary and corporate video producer, and a graduate of Whitireia Polytechnic's Writing Course. She has experience as an Assistant Director and in production and location management. Her most recent on-screen credit was as Executive Producer of Pania of the Reef for Toitu Productions Ltd.

Jessica Charlton - Technician
Jessica Charlton is the Technician responsible for managing the technical aspects of The Film School. Jess spent a year teaching photography and digital video at the Victoria University School of Design. She obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (with honours) from Massey University, where she majored in photo media. She also studied film at Victoria University and completed a short course at AFTRS on the craft of the camera operator. She has worked on several short films as director of photography and continues to develop her skills in this area.

Adèle Chapman - Receptionist/ Administrator
Adèle Chapman is the Receptionist/Administrator responsible for the operational support of the school. As well as having experience in administration, Adèle has a history of professional acting in theatre, television, film and radio. She is a recipient of a Chapman-Tripp Theatre Award and has completed a Diploma in Creative Writing at NMIT.

Visiting Tutors
Much of the course is delivered by visiting industry tutors in specialist fields. The Film School is very appreciative of these industry practitioners for their support and enthusiasm in passing on their skills and expertise to students.
The Film School has collaborative relationships with the New Zealand Film Commission, NZ On Air, The New Zealand Film Archive, the Screen Directors Guild, the Screen Producers and Directors Association, the Technicians Guild, the NZ Writers Guild, WIFT (Women in Film and Television) and Toi Whakaari as well as the various facilities and production companies located in Wellington. These help to expand the human resources and expertise available to the School and its students.
