TEC Education Performance Indicators

The Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) is the govenrment body responsible for funding tertiary education in New Zealand, assisting our people to reach their full potential and contributing to the social and economic well-being of the country.

Each year it publishes information on the educational performance of tertiary education organisations based on agreed Educational Performance Indicators (EPIs). In 2010 The Film School achieved excellent EPIs with:
  • 100% Successful Completion of Courses (1st equal in the country)
  • 100% Completion of Qualifications (1st equal)
  • 98% Students Retained in Study (8th)

The New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) ensures that New Zealand qualifications are valued as credible and robust both nationally and internationally.

NZQA conducts External Evaluation and Review to ensure that tertiary education organisations continue to comply with the statutory policies and criteria after initial course approval and accreditation and/or registration is granted.

The Film School underwent External Evaluation and Review in 2010 and received an evaluation of Confident in both dimensions of Educational Performance and Capability in Self-Assessment. You can view the full report here.
